First Fridays Art Walk

The first Friday of each month, Anchorage art galleries hold
"First Friday" events, from 5:30 to 8 pm. Map and list of galleries
is included in the Anchorage Press, which is distributed around
town the day before.

Live Bluegrass Hoedown Throwdown
Wednesdays until May 31st

Alaska Zoo Wildlife Wednesdays
Free Science Lectures the second Wednesday of
the month, starting October 12th. Schedule includes:
October 12th -- Muskox Marvels.  November 9th -- Genetics
of Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon. December 14th -- Endangered
Belugas in Cook Inlet.  January 11th -- Polar Bear Research
in Chukchi Sea.  February 8th -- Wolves in Southwest Alaska.
March 19th -- River Otters.  April 11th -- Dall Sheep Populations.
